"I'm a big tall man...I cut the grass..." [23 Jul 2004|06:08pm]
[ mood | blank ]
[ music | Liz Phair "Uncle Alvarez" ]

Hey there. Sure the subject of this entry is a Liz Phair song quote but I really did just cut the grass. I haven't done that in like a year (you can just call me "Princess") ...and I have to say I did a damn good job shellacking (sp?) that grass. I haven't mastered the artform quite yet, but at least I got to get out of the house for a little while.

The last few days have been absolutely the most drab days summer has yet to throw up at me. Yesterday...for I think the first time all summmer...I didn't leave the house. Not once. Not to get the paper, not to go to Target, not to see what real light is like. I was inside all day. My only true connection with the outside world was having AIM conversations...and watching Surviving Nugent on VH1 at 1 in the morning. I also watched Aladdin. Jesus Christ do I love Aladdin. Okay, who the hell doesn't want to own a tiger after seeing Aladdin. I want a tiger that will growl at shitty suitors and hug me before I bail the palace. And if I haven't mentioned this before, the most unquestionably gay nemesis from any Disney movie is Jafar. First of all, that queen could dress. Note the royal reds and purples matched with the sleek black garb. The golden staff was a nice touch. Secondly, Jafar was determined to be a "sorcerer," which is the same thing as being determined to be a fierce queen. Jafar would easily fit in the background in the music video for "Vogue"...that sinister smirk, that gaunt physique, the severe facial features... uhh not to mention Jafar was a leather daddy with a bitch..."Iago"...if Iago was a person, Jafar would be getting blown every day. Jafar is a direct descendent from Tim Curry's character Dr. Frankenfurter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, except let's face it, Jafar could probably kick more ass on the runway. One time somebody told me if they could pick any character for me to play, it would be Jafar. Compliment? I'll leave that up to you.

I suppose I can recount some of the past days events for you (I apologize for not keeping prompt on the updating this week). I've been to the eighth wonder of the world, aka the Meijer in Bolingbrook, twice this week. Once with Sarah and Andy, and once with Sarah, Andy, and Kimmie. Both times I've been at this place, Andy has purchased a fruit of some sort (whether or not he really knows what the hell it is doesn't seem to matter). Andy's a lot of fun to hang out with... he and I also shopped for pants at Meijer, and he was really glad to pick out a pair that he liked...until he got tired of carrying them and left them in the catfood aisle or something.

One day when hanging with Sarah and Kimmie, we went to Dairy Queen and I tried the Moolatti (sp? again) which was excellent at first taste but it just doesn't compare to Starbucks. Like that Sinead O'Connor song, "Nothing Compares 2 Starbucks"...it's been seven hours and fifteen days...since you had your vanilla grande...

Greg and I went miniature golfing this week, and the little mutt beat me (of course). Not by much, but three strokes was enough for him to win in the end. I'd never taken Greg anywhere before besides church...I really wanted him to get out of the house. He spends too much time playing video games and watching things like Tremors. There is no reason to watch that much Tremors. Not the movies, not Tremors: The Series, nor the extended DVD features on Tremors where we learn about the cultural impact of the movie: "No one blewed shit up like that before Tremors...no sir...I need a beer..."

Less than a month till college now...very scary, very exciting.

I'm gone for now, dinner's almost ready. Enjoy the last month of summer for all it's worth. These are the good ole days, you know. Love them while they're here and love yourselves.

Louis.
